This policy explains, in plain English, how we handle personal information collected through our website, audit applications and services. It should be read with any service agreement or form notice that applies to the service you use.

Messages required to respond to an enquiry or provide an requested service may be sent using the contact details supplied. Ongoing commercial email or SMS requires appropriate consent or another lawful basis. Marketing messages must identify the sender and provide a functional way to unsubscribe.
Marketing consent should be recorded separately from consent to process an audit or contact request.
Information may be processed through providers used for website hosting, WordPress, Elementor, forms, email delivery, Systeme.io, HighLevel, call tracking, SMS, analytics, payments, security, backups and booking calendars. The final provider list, data locations and links must be confirmed before launch.
Some technology providers may store or process information outside Australia. The final policy should identify relevant overseas disclosures where practical after the production systems and provider locations are confirmed.
Where Barrell Consulting configures tracking or CRM systems for a customer, the customer remains responsible for the lawfulness and accuracy of information supplied, its contact permissions, staff access and how it uses customer data. Barrell Consulting may refuse bulk messaging where consent cannot reasonably be demonstrated.
Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect information. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Information should be retained only for as long as reasonably required for the purpose collected, service delivery, dispute handling or legal obligations. Final retention periods require owner and legal review.

The website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand general website usage and improve its content and enquiry paths.
